Forget painting and DIY, there are 2 much simpler ways to freshen up your bedroom this spring!
For today’s post I’ve teamed up with Yorkshire Linen who wanted to know my ideas on reinventing the bedroom. Of course the first thing that came to mind was the fact that it’s now spring, and the ways I could make the bedroom feel bright, airy and happy.
Maybe I’m the only one, but I like my home to reflect whatever season it is. So, if it’s autumn / winter I want my home to feel and appear cosy and warm with a ridiculous amount of blankets ready and waiting for me when I curl up on the sofa. However, it’s now spring (or should I say summer with the recent weather we’ve been having) and that means putting away the blankets and breaking out the pastels, tropical prints, bright colours and of course the more flowers the better.
Tell me I’m not the only one that does this?
As I mentioned in my spring cleaning post changing my bed sheets not only makes me feel happy, it also makes a huge difference to the bedroom – I mean is there anything better than freshly cleaned sheets? Nah.
The bed is the focal point in the bedroom and bedding has a huge impact of how your room and, most importantly, how you feel. I honestly think that changing your sheets and adding in some seasonal decor in your bedroom can impact how you feel in the mornings. If you think about it, your duvet is one of the first things you see when you wake up, so why not have bedding that motivates you to wake up and seize the day?
I picked out five very different duvet cover sets from Yorkshire Linen to give you a small sampling of what bedding they have to offer to update your bedroom for spring. There’s something for everyone, whether you like something that’s bright and floral, minimalist, a beach house vibe, or you’re a world traveller looking to incorporate that into your bedroom.
My favourite one out of them all is the yellow detailed set. Nothing represents spring to me like the colour yellow, maybe it’s because daffodils signify the start of spring, but whatever it is those sheets would definitely motivate me to get up and go.

Another way to update your bedroom for spring is you can decorate it with some faux plants. I find faux plants and flowers to be the best and easiest way to refresh my home and make it more inviting. Not only will they always look good and cost less than constantly buying a fresh bunch, but hay fever sufferers can rejoice with no sneezing. It’s a win-win! Plus, how cute is that jar of flowers from Next?

Yes, you read that correctly. All of these gorgeous duvet sets and decor knick-knacks are reasonably priced and look amazing.
