What To Wear For The Christmas Party Season

The Christmas blog posts are now in full swing and it’s not even December, but let’s be real, as soon as it’s November I’m in full Christmas mode. I was already getting the Christmas cards out ready to be written – I didn’t write them mind you, only picked out the cards I was going to use… Yes I’m trying to justify being very organised and it’s not working. Don’t hold it against me haha!

When I was deciding what Christmas posts I would write this year I was very keen on expanding from my normal festive food posts (don’t worry I’ve still got some in the works – so stay tuned!) but I wanted to incorporate more fashion, lifestyle and different gifting ideas this year, and that’s exactly what I’ve done. For this post I wanted to answer the agonising question we usually face (especially if you’re a libra like me), ‘what do I wear for the Christmas party season?’.  So I scoured amongst the endless party wear collections online and I’ve selected some of my favourite party wear outfits into this easy shoppable post. The items I’ve chosen come from Warehouse*, Monsoon, ASOS and more.

Whether you like not dress up or not, there’s something for everyone, and each item can be easily dressed up or down depending on the occasion. Personally I love darker colours during this season, especially when it’s a jumpsuit, because they look so effortless and chic, even though they feel so comfy you could mistake them for your pyjamas! I also love the complete opposite and some how I seem gravitate towards bright bold colours. Reds are a classic for Christmas, but the teal jumpsuit and mustard dress are beautiful alternatives if red isn’t your colour.

My top picks for the party season:

Have you got any festive parties to go to? Or are you hosting one yourself?
