Happy New Year!
New Year usually means New Year resolutions, but this year I decided to write 3 positive changes I plan to make in 2019, which are [slightly] like making resolutions, but I think they will have a more positive impact on me than having “I want to get fit” on my list. Plus, I want to bring more positivity into my life (clique I know), but sometimes you just need a positivity boost to get back to where you want to be.
1. Changing my blog schedule. I’ve been thinking about changing my schedule for a while, and I decided that I’m going to be posting new blog posts every Tuesday and Friday. With the occasional extra post going up on Sunday.
Why the change? Well, last year was a year of my discovering that I couldn’t really fulfil my 3 posts a week schedule, so naturally I want to have a schedule that I know I can keep.
2. Focus on me. I have many things I wish to achieve this year; I’m not going to go into them because it doesn’t necessarily matter what they are, instead I want to reiterate that we all have personal goals we want to achieve, but it’s the fact that we need to take time for ourselves in order to do the things we want to do to help ourselves.
3. Rest. This sort of links with number 2, but hey. I noticed at the end of last year that one of my flaws is I never rest – both physically and mentally. My brain is constantly firing on all cylinders 24/7, which is great in some ways, but not so great in others. Learning to relax and not be constantly working/ thinking about work (etc) is going to be my biggest challenge in these 3 positive changes I want to make, but it’s one I need to make.
I love working. I love keeping up with everything, and being someone people can go to for information, updates and advice. But that’s not really enough to be able to live in a positive well balanced and healthy way.
